How our adventure began...
Adventure Dog K9 was born out of our love for our dogs, for taking our dogs on adventures with us and to create
solutions for problems we found with the products already on the market. We want our dogs to be safe, so we could
take them comfortably and safely wherever we go!
A few years ago, we wanted a good harness for our dogs, but were hesitant to buy what we saw on the market. Its just
too hot where we live for a thick, heavy harness, so we started looking for mesh harnesses. Those weren't sturdy
enough and didn't have the features we were looking for. My husband started an adventure gear company after 25 years
in the Army and I thought maybe we could build exactly what we wanted for our dogs. We started with something much
different than what it evolved into, but after months of field testing and problem solving we had EXACTLY what we
wanted for our pups.
Sadly, our first adventure dogs reached the end of their lives before we perfected the products, but after adopting
two more rescue pups, we watched them grow and used these harnesses on them.
We also created an another problem to solve. Our dogs get to go almost everywhere with us, so day after day people
asked us where they could get these vests. Not having an answer for them other than, “We made them ourselves”, we
decided to start Adventure Dog K9 Gear and the rest is history.
We are committed to making rugged and reliable sturdy K9 Gear which allows us to be confident that our dogs are safe
and secure when whether on our daily “Squirrel Chasing” Adventures or we are far afield exploring the backroads and
forest trails of East Texas. We want YOU to feel that same confidence.
We want all dog owners to have this same comfort level when using our products. We love our dogs and know you love
yours, and their safety is PRIORITY #1.
